Google has announced that its Gemini live video and screen sharing features are now available for free to all Android users. Originally launched in early April, these tools were initially restricted to Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25 devices, or users subscribed to the Google One AI Premium plan. Now, after receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback, Google is expanding access.
With these features, users can interact with Gemini using their camera or screen. For instance, you can snap a photo of clothing to learn more about its materials or get information about unfamiliar terms you come across online.
The rollout is happening gradually and will reach all compatible Android devices in the coming weeks. According to Google, any Android phone or tablet running Android 10 or newer with at least 2GB of RAM will be able to use these tools through the Gemini app.
As Google puts it: “We’ve been hearing great feedback on Gemini Live with camera and screen share, so we decided to bring it to more people.
